This work in progress was painted/printed by the pupils at Rosslyn School during the Art Fest week - June 2010.The theme was 'journey' - the primitive mark making was inspired by ancient cultures.

Kilmartin
Inspired... by a recent trip to up north. This photo was taken at Kilmartin - an amazing archaeological site...
Remains of two stone circles lie within sight of Kilmartin's linear cemetery and Nether Largie standing stones. One circle may date to 3,500. Burials and pottery associated with the other are over 1000 years younger. |
