Orange Elephant

This elephant symbolises all the pioneering women

who fought for animal rights, from Eleanor of Arborea in the 1300's

to Lek Chailert in the 1990's (who continues to rescue elephants)

Sumatran Elephant

Lino print on cotton paper...

Another species that is critically endangered :(

Pink Elephant

Mixed media: did you know that pink elephants do actually

exist in nature, but they are extremely rare...

Three French Hens (one in isolation!) 2020

Following on with the 12 Days of Christmas, these three french hens

are following the guidelines! Isolation has never been so popular...

Two Turtle Doves (socially distancing!!) 2020

This mixed media is 20cm square and a colourful sign of our current situation!

Lockdown!

And I can't forget about the 2 sketchbooks I filled

(the first 100 days) during lockdown!

Stained Glass Commission 2020

I've had a few stained glass commissions this year...

I'm very lucky I have been able to keep working during this pandemic.

Kolinsky Sable...Ceci n'est pas un pinceau!! (This is not a paintbrush!)

Mixed media using cruelty free brushes...

Winter

So... this is what I've been up to!

Mixed media heads inspired by nature and fairy tales.

Selfie!!! With a few of my favourite things...

I'm sorry...

It's been almost a year since I posted an image here!

A Partridge in a Pear

Mixed media on board.

This work was inspired by the song 'The Twelve days of Christmas' combined with an endangered species theme... the partridge population is currently under threat.

For FOX Sake

 Mixed media on board.

This work was made after I spent some time researching endangered species...

Foxes belong to the dog family and have similar gestures, they are just wild animals that we should respect not hunt.

Russian Bird Bowl

This work will be for sale tomorrow

@ the Library in Kinghorn, a new venue for a Pop up shop!!!

I saw this little bird in the Russian museum, Moscow last year.

It was an ancient artefact that I just had to sketch and put into

this colourful glass design.

Rock & Roll

In between painting heads and breaking glass I love to work with mixed media,

vibrant colours, abstract shapes and quirky patterns...

I Don't Care

Ironically I do care... about a lot of things

that are happening in the world today!

This work is inspired by destruction, despair and displacement.

Acrylic on wood with burnt flowers on a gold border.

Just Another Girl

I recently left my studio on the High Street after 18 years!! I am now in a transition period whilst waiting for my new studio to be built. Glass work is on hold for a few months but I am continuing my artistic practice. This painting was inspired by my recent travels in India...
